This is the music video for Paramore's song Decode. It is featured in the Twilight soundtrack...which I picked up today. Good stuff. I'm just posting this because I can't contain my excitement for the movie.

Seeing Green
Yes, we are seeing green. Not green with envy, we are literally seeing green. Gene and I grew a wild hair(so to say) and decided to paint our living room green. We plan to paint the rest of the room a tan/beige. Our goal is to have an "outdoorsy" feeling in there. So, I thought I'd post some pictures so you can see. Enjoy.

Halloween...BOO
What a wonderful day Halloween was. Cute Ethan was dressed up as Superman. Superbaby if you prefer. This was the first time Ethan was able to actually see what Halloween was. Considering last year he was only a month old at the time. Poor kid was taken all over the Salt Lake valley being shown off to everyone. We first started off at Grandma Stewart's work. He wasn't the only one in costume there. Oh no, the whole staff was dressed up almost to the point that we couldn't recognize anyone. Gene's mom was dressed as a mummy. Pretty good costume if you ask me. She also had some grey stripes in her hair. Gene asked her why she didn't do anything with her hairdo. So funny. Then we showed some friends who worked at the gas station next to Terry's work. After that, it was off too Grandma Bradford's house. My grandma, so I guess that's Great Grandma to Ethan. Mom was there to. They just loved his costume. He really was adorable. Later in the day we returned home. We had to get ready for trick or treating. Dustin, Rebekah and her twin sister Amber came over. The girls were cute wearing bunny and cat ears. Bekah even had a little cotton tail. Everyone but Amber went out and took Ethan trick or treating. Amber offered to stay at our house to answer the door. Poor Ethan didn't even know what to think when we rang everyone's doorbell. He kind of had a deer in headlights look the whole time. It was actually really funny. When we got home...about 10 minutes after leaving...we watched a scary movie. Well, not too scary, but sort of. It was pretty funny while we were watching the movie, Amber kept eating the candy stash she had in her pocket. A little reward for herself for answering the door for us.
Halloween really was a fun holiday for us. I can't wait until Ethan grows up a little bit more and can actually enjoy trick or treating. All of us adults had a lot of fun. We had a lot of kids come to the house, but I'm sure we ate more candy than we gave out!

Household Items
So, Ethan has found a new love of household items. He has always been fascinated by the refrigerator, but now he enjoys laundry baskets too. He likes to first dump them out and then push them across the floor. So much for clean clothes! He also likes to climb on top of them and bounce around. Sure, it makes me a little nervous, but I guess he'll learn that it hurts to fall off. Then there is the issue with the toy box. Great for storing toys, not so much for storing a little boy. Ethan hasn't quite grasped the idea of finding his way out of the toy box when he crawls into it. I wonder what he'll discover next...Ah, the joys of having a little kid around the house. We absolutely love it.
As a side note, Ethan is growing another tooth. This one is on the bottom right next to his front tooth on the right. That makes seven teeth all together so far.

All Those Boys are Much too Much
This has got to be one of the cutest commercials I have ever seen! I think it sends a good message too. So this posting is kind of silly, but I couldn't resist sharing it.

Jazz vs. Jazz
This last Saturday we had an awesome experience. We were invited by Dustin and Rebekah to go to a Utah Jazz basketball scrimmage. We rode the TRAX line downtown to the Energy Solutions Arena and watched the players first get interviewed so we could all meet the old and new players. After the interviews, we watched them do some warm ups and then play a game. It was so cool. Ethan seemed to like it too. He clapped a lot and was zoning out watching the giant screen above the court. The really nice part about the whole thing was that there weren't a lot of people there. Dustin's dad, Mike, learned about it in an email. So, not a lot of people even knew about the event.
During the half time of the show the Jazz mascot was being so funny. He was spraying people with a fire hydrant and falling into the basketball net. There was also a little boy who got to take some pictures with the players. The best part was when Deron Williams picked the boy up and put him on his shoulders. What a guy!
The game ended in a tie. Not everyone was pleased with that, but I thought it was a good ending to the game. Thanks to Dustin and Bekah for having us tag along. They are seriously the coolest friends ever.

The Hunger Games Book Review
Yet again, another book review. This week I read "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. Another excellent book recommended by my friend Stephenie Meyer. Yes, the author of the Twilight books. I'm obsessed with her. Anyway, this story was so good! I couldn't put the dang thing down.
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
That's the book in a nutshell. I really think it's a great read. Not too long either. It is 374 pages. I think it's the first in a series too, because at the end of the book it says The End of Book One. Oh boy, another series to get sucked into.
Speaking of series, Gene bought me the book Eragon. My sister and other family members are wild about it. He actually got me the first and second books all combined into one book. So that will be my next review. Until next time...
