What's Going On

It's been a few weeks since my last post, so I decided to write an update. Ethan went to the doctor for his 6 month check up last week. He is growing and developing right of schedule. I am thrilled to death because he is now sleeping better at night. He has only been waking up once around 4am and then doesn't get up for the day until around 8am. That's about 11 hours of sleep for him. It's nice because I can get up early and shower before he even gets up.

Things with Gene are good too. He now works one extra day every other week. It helps bring in some overtime money. He is also now getting ready to mow lawns this spring and summer. Our friend Rick does it too and needs a little help with the work load. So, hopefully that will bring in a little cash to pay some debt off.

Me, well I'm good too. I've been working a little bit over the last few weeks at Onyx Graphics. It's not hard work, but I keep busy. I am actually kind of sick right now. I've been feeling a cold coming on for about 2 weeks now. Well, finally it caught up to me. I am feeling a little better today, so hopefully I'll kick it here soon. I have been reading more lately. I just read a book called Twilight. It was awesome. It is actually the first of a series. So, of course I went and got the second book called New Moon. I'm now half way through it. I can't wait to see what happens in it.

Well, I guess that's all for now. I'll try to do better on keeping this current.

Go Jazz

Last night we had so much fun. Gene and I went to the Jazz game with our friends Dustin and Rebekah. I had never been to a game before. In fact, I never had an interest in basketball until I became friends with them. We got upper bowl tickets for 12 bucks each, so it was a cheap date night. It was so exciting to see all the players in person. They played the Bobcats. Gene and Dustin especially liked the Bobcat players shoes...black shoes with orange laces. Silly boys. So, we totally won the game 128 to 106. That's right, the Jazz rock. We cheered loudly, clapped hard, and ate red vines. Oh yeah, we had a blast! I can't wait to do it again!

Happy Easter

Easter was a wonderful holiday for our family. The morning started out like any other Sunday. You know, the rush for everyone to be ready for church on time! We decided that Ethan and I would go to church with Grandma. Gene had to go to our ward because he had to teach his class. We decided to to that because we were going to spend the rest of the day with Gene's family over at his grandma's house. Church was fun. Ethan just talked and talked all through the meetings. Once church was over we came home and changed our clothes and went off to Grandma Coleman's house. She had an easter egg hunt planned for all the kids. Even Ethan got in on the fun. He found a yellow egg that looked like a dinosaur. So cute. It was fun to see all our relatives that we don't get to see very often.

Later on in the day, closer to bedtime, Ethan hit another mile stone. He was getting frustrated because he was super tired and was ready to go to bed. With the momentum of his anger, he pushed himself up onto his hands and knees! Gene and I were so excited. Not only did he do it once, he did it twice. We scooped him up and gave him big hugs and kisses. He wasn't mad anymore after that. He just loves his hugs and kisses.

So, our Easter was super fun. Things are so exciting with Ethan. Everything is so new to him that it just makes it more amazing to watch.

Big Boy

Today is the 15th of March...that means that yesterday was the 14th. It just so happens that the 14th of March was Ethan's 6 month birthday. Boy how time goes by so fast! It is amazing to see how fast he learns things. One day he rolled over and then could do it with no trouble. He is now learning how to army crawl. He rolls onto his tummy and just pulls himself right along the floor. I have to say that it's the cutest thing in the world. We have learned that so far he will eat anything. Carrots, Squash, Apples...everything. We took him to the doctor's office yesterday. Turns out that he has horrible eczema. His neck and chin are most affected. We now have to bathe him everyday, change our soap, and rub cream on him everyday. It's kinda a hassle, but I'll do anything if it will help him. I guess every mom feels like their kids are the most amazing, but Ethan really is the most amazing child. He is always so happy, so cute, and it is a joy to have him in our family!

Here it is

Alright, because of the high demand from our fans, the Stewart family has created a blog. So, here it is. We will now be able to keep everyone posted about the important...and not so important events in our lives. As for today, one thing that has happened was that the youngest member of our family, Ethan, consumed an entire jar of carrots. Way to go little E! That's all for now.
