Camping Trip

Now that I finally have the internet hooked up at our new house -Yes we moved into the Sandy house. More about that in a later post. - I can finally post another blog entry!

We moved in to our house 2 weeks ago on July 24th. Then before really unpacking, we went camping. We thought it was a good idea to take a break from life and get into the great outdoors. Well, indoors in our case. Gene talked his sister Cherie into lettings us borrow one of her trailers. It was awesome! Instead of going camping just the three of us, we invited our friends Dustin and Rebekah along. We reserved a spot up at Strawberry Reservoir. I can't tell you how much fun we had! We were grateful we were staying in a trailer because the weather really wasn't very good. It was windy and raining most of the time. It really didn't matter though. We had a great time staying dry, looking out at the lake from the windows, and playing games inside. However, the wind during the night was a bit bothersome. It was like there was a tornado outside! It shook the whole trailer. None of us really slept well. Especially Ethan. Another nice thing about the trailer was having a stove! Not just a camp stove, a real stove. Yeah, so it was kind of a luxury camping trip. Rebekah made a yummy dinner and I made a yummy breakfast right inside. The next day we went fishing. Too bad nothing was biting! Bekah caught one little baby fish but the rest of us got nothing. We had a good time still though.

Along with all the other fun things that happened on the trip, we all discovered that Ethan loves Oreo cookies. I just marvel at his cuteness sometimes. I swear, he was more dirty than the ground out there. After crawling around on the floor all day and smashing food all over his face, he looked like a little homeless child. (As Dustin stated) Ethan is such a trooper. I'm so glad that he can adjust to his surroundings. It seemed that he had a good time too.

All in all, we had an awesome time. We were sad to leave the mountains. But, as they say...All good things must come to an end...Hopefully we can get up there again before the season is over!
