I'm really bad at blogging. It's true. So, here is an update on what is going on.
Ethan is learning and growing everyday. He has discovered the children's show "The Wiggles". He loves it! He is always asking for the monkey song. It is so cute. He dances just like the guys on tv. He loves to color and to look at books also. He is becoming more interested in going potty. I think we'll start potty training in March. Let's see...what else? He communicates very well now. He is talking very well. It is very nice to be able to know what he wants. Now if only we could get rid of that stinking binky!
Sydney is also growing like a weed! I forgot how fast the milestones come and go. She is 5 months old now. She is laughing, smiling, playing, and is very observant to her surroundings. She loves to watch her big brother. We started her on rice cereal the other day. She ate it very well. She really is an easy baby to care for. She sleeps very well at night too. She also sits up with a little support. Sydney really is a sweetie.
Gene is busy at work. Sinclair is selling all of their C-stores, so we are gearing up for unemployment here soon. We picked up a big paper route though to make some money in the meantime. We're actually going to probably pick up a second route too. Gene had surgery on his foot 3 weeks ago. He had a neuroma in his foot. What that is, is when a bunch of nerves bundle together in your foot and form a callus around it. It was supposed to be an easy surgery with a quick recovery time, but his particular situation was a lot worse than the doctor thought. So 3 weeks out, he is just barely beginning to walk without a crutch.
Me, (Stephanie) on the other hand, don't have much going on. I am staying home and being wife and mother. I am helping Gene with newspapers, but that's pretty much it as far as jobs go. I left the daycare because my hours got cut down into 8 hours a week. It just wasn't worth the gas money to get there. I am having a good time watching my kids grow and building our home.
Gene and I were called to teach the 15 year old group in Sunday school. In fact, I was just called yesterday to be his new teaching companion. We are looking forward to working together.
I guess that's it for now. Thanks for reading!
